1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Changelog AI (“the Service”), operated by Changelog AI (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service, including users who contribute content, information, or other materials through the Service.

2. Account Registration and Responsibilities

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You may register using Google OAuth or a magic link sent to your email address. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information during registration.
• Maintain the security of your account credentials and authentication methods.
• Promptly notify us of any unauthorized use of your account.
• Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Service. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights.
• Transmit any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
• Distribute malware, viruses, or any other harmful software.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or any related systems or networks.
• Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications.
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service without our written permission.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.

We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action against anyone who violates this policy, including removing content, suspending accounts, and reporting violations to law enforcement.

4. Payment Terms

The Service offers the following plans:

• Free tier: 1 project, last 10 entries visible, no custom domain. No payment required.
• Pro ($29/month): Unlimited projects and entries, custom domain support, subscriber email notifications.
• Founders Edition ($299 one-time): All Pro features with a single one-time payment. No recurring charges.

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis (for the Pro plan) until you cancel. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us.

Prices are listed in US dollars and are subject to change with reasonable notice. We will notify existing subscribers before any price changes take effect on their accounts.

Refunds for the Pro plan may be issued at our discretion within 14 days of the initial charge. Founders Edition purchases are non-refundable after 30 days.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding content provided by users), features, and functionality are owned by Changelog AI and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain full ownership of all content you create, upload, or publish through the Service, including changelog entries, project descriptions, and any other user-generated content. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, display, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service.

Content generated by our AI features is based on your input and belongs to you. You are responsible for reviewing and approving all AI-generated content before publishing.

6. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with the following third-party providers to deliver its functionality:

• Stripe — for payment processing and subscription management.
• Resend — for transactional email delivery, including subscriber notifications and magic link authentication.
• Google OAuth — for account authentication.
• Anthropic (Claude AI) — for AI-powered changelog generation.

Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or policies of third-party providers.

7. Termination and Account Deletion

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, we may delete your account data, including projects, entries, and subscriber lists.

If you have an active paid subscription and your account is terminated by us without cause, we will provide a pro-rated refund for any unused portion of your subscription period.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Changelog AI and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

• Your access to or use of (or inability to use) the Service.
• Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service.
• Any content obtained from the Service, including AI-generated content.
• Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.

Our total liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any defects will be corrected. AI-generated content is provided as a drafting aid and may contain inaccuracies. You are solely responsible for reviewing and approving all content before publishing.

No advice or information, whether oral or written, obtained from us or through the Service shall create any warranty not expressly stated in these Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice before any new terms take effect, by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the “Last updated” date.

Your continued use of the Service after any changes to the Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the Service.
